Ōmokoroa Road Urbanisation - Stage 2

About the project

Upgrading 1.7km of Ōmokoroa Road from Prole Road to the railway line to an urbanised standard – complete with kerbing, shared cycle and pedestrian path, lighting, improved road markings and signage, utility services, stormwater improvements and new water main.

The draft project design is complete for the four traffic lanes from the Prole Road/Ōmokoroa Road intersection to the north of Flounder Drive intersection.

We are liaising with the adjacent owners about the impact of the work on their properties, finalising the design of the affected underground services and waiting for resource consent approval from the relevant authorities.

What to expect next:

• Completion of the design, consultation of affected parties and consenting.
• Construction to start as soon as design is finalised and the relevant consents are approved.
• Project completion by 2023.
