About the project
Council bought the former pavilion from the Ōmokoroa Sports and Recreation Society who have moved into the new sports pavilion on Western Avenue Reserve.
The former pavilion, already on the reserve, has been relocated (16 Nov) about 50m to the edge of Western Avenue.
The next step is to renovate the building. When these are complete it will be available for community book for events and meetings etc.
Renovations are taking place now and all going to plan, will be complete by the end of summer 2022/23.
Renovations will include:
- New kitchen unit
- Freshen up on ply and batten exterior and painting of exterior
- New concrete path
The building is 14.4m long by 9.1m wide.
