Rating Information Database
The Rating Information Database contains all information required to set and assess rates on each rating unit within the Western Bay of Plenty District Council area.
This notice is pursuant to Section 28(4) of the Local Government (Rating) Act 2022
If you pay rates in the Western Bay of Plenty District, Council would like to let you know that the rating database is available for viewing, (as per Section 28(4) of the Local Government (Rating) Act 2002).
You can view our database on Council’s website, or at any of our libraries or service centres during normal office hours, listed below:
- Barkes Corner, 1484 Cameron Road, Tauranga. Open Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm.
- The Centre – Pātuki Manawa, Katikati Library, Service Centre and Community Hub, 21 Main Rd, Katikati. Open Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, Saturday 9am–12pm.
- Ōmokoroa Library & Service Centre, 28 Western Ave, Ōmokoroa. Open Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm and Saturday 9am–12pm.
- Te Puke Library and Service Centre, 130 Jellicoe Street, Te Puke. Open Monday to Friday from 9am–5pm and Saturday 9am–12pm.
- Waihī Beach Library and Service Centre, 106 Beach Road, Waihī Beach. Open Monday – Thursday 10am–2pm, Friday 10am–5pm, and Saturday 9am – 12pm.
Contact us to request for your details to be made confidential on the rating information database
A reminder that all property owners have the right under section 28C of the Local Government (Rating) Act 2002 to request Council to withhold your name or postal address (or both) from the database.
Separate Regional Council rates from 2022
Since July 2022, Bay of Plenty Regional Council invoice and collect its own rates, meaning they will have a separate Rating Information Database. For more information on the changes go to www.boprc.govt.nz.
If you have an objection, please lodge it in writing with Council.
