Pyes Pa is a suburb that crosses both boundaries with Tauranga City and Western Bay of Plenty District.

The lower area (residential and retail) of Pyes Pa is within the City limits while Upper Pyes Pa (lifestyle and farming) is within the Western Bay.

Pyes Pa School is part of Western Bay.

The jewel in Upper Pyes Pa is TECT Park – an adventure park of 1650 hectares jointly owned by Western Bay and Tauranga City councils. The park is on State Highway 36 about 30 minutes from Tauranga and Rotorua. The park features commercial pine forest and native bush and has been being transformed into an adventure playground.
