Pukehina
Pukehina Beach is a small coastal settlement in the Te Puke-Maketu Ward.
The distinctive feature of Pukehina is its 10-km peninsula with a sheltered estuary on one side and sandy beach on the other. A popular holiday spot in summer the beach is growing in popularity as a place to live permanently, particularly since the Tauranga Eastern Link improved access to the settlement. The beach is also a popular surf-casting spot for fishermen and swimming areas are patrolled by surf lifeguards during summer.
