Long Term Plan (LTP) 2009-2019

Welcome to Council's 2009-2019 Long Term Council Community Plan, otherwise referred to as the Long Term Plan.

In a nutshell the Long Term Plan, which we are required to view every three years, outlines the finer points of why Council is doing things, what work will be completed over the next 10 years and what it will cost.

This plan was adopted on 30 June 2009, after a public consultation process held in April/May 2009 which attracted 700 submitters.

For a summary of the decisions made on the major consultation issues, please refer to the chapter called "Decisions on the highlights for Consultation" contained in the document.

This plan succeeds the previous Long Term Plan produced by Council in 2006, which covered the period 2006-2016.

We encourage you to use this document to discover how we plan to make the Western Bay of Plenty District one of the best places in New Zealand to live, work and play.
