Making changes to your current registration

Fees associated with making changes
Please be aware that there will be charges to make these changes (excluding updating contact details).

• Administrative - $150.00 per hour. A minimum charge of half an hour.
• Verifier (if required) - $225.00 per hour. A minimum charge of half an hour (unless a site visit is required).

Updating contact details or postal address
If you need to make a minor change such as a updating your postal address, email address or phone number, please email premise@westernbay.govt.nz with the updated details. There are no charges to make these changes.

Make changes to the scope of operation
If you are changing the scope of your operation by making or selling different types of food, this may result in your operation being a different level of National Programme or requiring a Food Control Plan.

You should check the 'My Food Rules' tool or email premise@westernbay.govt.nz outlining what you plan to do differently. Our verifier will then give you a call to go over these proposed changes to determine if they're possible.

Change the legal entity of your business
You cannot make changes to the legal entity, you are required to apply for a new registration if you wish to do this.

Change the trading name of your business
If you wish to change the trading name of your business, please send an email to premise@westernbay.govt.nz outlining the changes you wish to make.

Change the physical address of your food business
If you wish to change the physical location of your food premise, you will need to have another verification to ensure your new site is suitable. Usual verification costs will apply.
