Car Seat Recycling

Western Bay of Plenty residents can recycle expired car seats through the SeatSmart programme at Baby on the Move on 435 Cameron Road, Tauranga. Ph: 07 575 7806. Baby on the Move’s open hours are Tuesday - Saturday: 9.30am - 4.30pm. They are closed on Sunday & Monday.

Western Bay of Plenty residents can take up to 4 expired car seats to be recycled. The subsidised cost for recycling a seat is $10 incl GST.

Recycling car seats ensure that materials like metal and plastic don’t get wasted, it also helps employ people with disabilities as SeatSmart use social enterprises to dismantle the seats.
