2019/2020 Annual Plan
Council adopted its Annual Plan for the 2019/2020 year (1 July 2019 – 30 June 2020) on 26 June 2019. You can find the draft Minutes of the 26 June 2019 Council meeting, incorporating the Setting of Rates for the 2019/20 year here.
Under the plan Council set an average rates increase of 3.1 percent, slightly less than 2018/2019 year’s 3.6 percent increase.
The 3.1 percent increase, of which inflation accounts for 2.2% maintains Council’s Long Term Plan (2018-2028) pledge to keep total rate increases below four percent (excluding population growth) for existing ratepayers over the 10 years of the Long Term Plan.
Alongside the Annual Plan, Council adopted an Amended Long Term Plan 2018-2028. The Amendment involved Council progressing the introduction of kerbside recycling, glass collection and rubbish collection service across approximately 80 percent of the District, starting in 2021.
