What to do if you find a lost or roaming dog

Have you seen a roaming dog? Report it to us and we will do our best to track down their owners and speak to them about picking it up.

If you find a roaming dog and you can safely secure it, call us on 0800 926 732 and we will come and collect it from you. We'll take good care of it and keep it safe until we can track down the owner and get it home. Photos can be helpful to us.

Remember - registration, microchipping and keeping your contact information with Council up to date helps to ensure we can contact you quickly if your dog is found.
