Katikati Urban Cycle and Walking Trails
The Katikati Urban Cycle/Walkways are a collaboration with the Katch Katikati Trails Development Group and Western Bay Council.
The majority of funding is coming from Council with the routes developed and prioritised with the Katikati Trails group.

Bird Walk Trail
The 'Bird Walk' trail begins at the Katikati Landing and can be accessed from Riverside Place, Riverlea Drive, Levley Lane, and continues to follow the esplanade reserve to the end of Park Road along the Uretara Stream towards Tauranga Harbour.
Summerset Walkway/Cycleway
A new connection called Summerset walkway/cycleway between Park Rd and Preston Drive is now complete and seems popular among the community.
Haiku Path to Henry Road
A recently completed walkway/cycleway now connects the Haiku Path with Henry Road via a 45m suspension bridge across the Uretara Stream. The new bridge is beside the original railway alignment (the railway was closed in 1982) that was in place prior to the Kaimai Tunnel.
Tamawhariua Reserve to Beach Road
This walkway/cycleway was completed mid-July 2018. This route is open to pedestrians, cyclists and mobility scooters. Dogs must be under control at all times. No motorbikes or horses are permitted on this reserve trail.
