Safe Drinking Water

To safeguard public health, a drinking water supply system needs protection from contamination. Typically, this requires a treatment process to remove contaminants such as impurities and harmful bugs that can cause infectious disease.

Domestic and commercial activities such as food preparation, personal hygiene and laundering depend on a safe water supply at all times.

Property owners unable to connect to our Council water supply are legally obliged to ensure supply water that is safe, adequate and convenient (Ref. Health Act 1956, Section 29 (p) and Section 39 (1a)).
