Proposal To Close Whataroa Road To Vehicular Traffic

Pursuant to the Local Government Act 1974, Tenth Schedule, notice is hereby given that the Western Bay of Plenty District Council, for the purpose of Motorsport Tarmac Bend Sprint Hill Climb proposes to close the following road(s) to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder.

Road to be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic: Whataroa Road will be closed past the information centre (on your left coming off State Highway 36) up to the TECT Park Motorcycle Club. This stretch will remain closed for the duration of the event.

Period of closure:

Sunday, 20th April 2025, 6am to 6pm

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person otherwise than under authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.
