The Waitui Reserve toilet in Te Puna is being replaced by a spanking new Permaloo-designed loo and will be adorned with artwork by Tauranga artist Shane Walker.
Shane's work is already around the Western Bay. Currently his public art works for Council are in Katikati, Tanners Point, Waihi Beach town centre and at the Dave Hume swimming pool.
Earthworks at Waitui Reserve in Te Puna start today by Beach Contractors. The toilet will be closed for up to three weeks during which time two public portaloos will be in place.
