Kids in Te Puke will soon be able to play on a brand new playground, with the current playground in Fairhaven Park set to be replaced this spring.
The playground at Fairhaven Park has been enjoyed by hundreds of children over the past 20 years, but is now nearing the end of its life.
Included in the new playground design are two slides, a fire pole, stepping pods, ring swings, bubble climber and a steel rock wall, as well as separate spinning equipment - ensuring all age groups can enjoy the space. The three bay swing will remain in place.
The footprint for the new playground is the same, so the park will still be able to accommodate junior soccer games, toilet facilities and a BBQ.
Funding for this project has been secured through Council's asset renewal programme.
