Emergency water shutdown for Omokoroa

An emergency water shutdown is affecting all properties in Omokoroa this afternoon.Water to the entire peninsula has been shut down for at least three hours, possibly until 7pm) to allow contractors to repair a burst water main.

Western Bay of Plenty District Council reports a major break occurred in the bulk water main that services all of Omokoroa shortly after 3pm today.
