SUMMARY OF PUBLIC NOTICE FOR WAIHĪ BEACH COASTAL PROTECTION STRUCTURE
RC14513(L) - Publicly Notified Resource Consent Application at 95 Seaforth Road, the Esplanade Reserve at Lot 19 DPS 22035 and 12 Glen Isla Place, Waihī Beach
The Western Bay of Plenty District Council has received an application from the Glen Isla Protection Society Incorporated for a resource consent (land use) for the construction of a coastal protection structure (buried rock riprap wall) and associated activities on the Council recreation reserve at 95 Seaforth Road, the adjoining esplanade reserve at Lot 19 DPS 22035 and 12 Glen Isla Place, Waihī Beach. The coastal protection structure is approximately 200m in length and, at the completion of construction, will be covered with sand and planted with native dune species.

Internet access and hardcopies are also available at the Western Bay of Plenty District Council office at Barkes Corner or the Waihī Beach Library & Office.
Any person may make a submission on the application. The submission form can be downloaded from the Council website www.westernbay.govt.nz or submission forms are available from any Western Bay of Plenty District Council office. Submissions close at 5pm on Friday 28th of February 2025.
