Winter Wander Dogs hits Katikati
Hey dog lovers! Here’s your chance to bundle up warm and get outdoors for a fun group walk with your furry bestie.
Western Bay of Plenty District Council is stretching its much-loved Wander Dogs series into these cooler months with a walk on Saturday 12 August starting at the Uretara Landing Reserve, Noble Johnston Drive in Katikati from 9.30am.
Council’s Animal Services Team Leader Peter Hrstich is encouraging the canine community of every shape and size to join in the fun.
“Our summer dog walk series is really well-loved amongst dog owners in the Western Bay so we thought why not put one on during the colder months as we all know dogs still need exercise and socialisation during winter.”
“It’s a great chance to get outdoors in the fresh air with your furry bestie and explore a part of Katikati you might not have before.
“Plus, our dog expert Betty will be on hand to answer all your dog-related questions. So give her a yell before the walk if there’s something you’re keen on getting some tips and tricks on,” says Peter.
We’re also holding a walk in Te Puke during September so if you’re in that part of the District, keep your eyes peeled for details coming soon!
