No vehicle access to Kaituna Mole carpark

The Kaituna Mole at Maketu is currently closed to vehicles while Western Bay of Plenty District Council makes improvements to the carpark and surrounding area.

Works include: more parking spaces, asphalt resurfacing and line marking which is expected to be completed by mid-November (weather permitting). Following this, new toilet facilities will also be installed.

You can still use the mole for fishing during this time, however there is no vehicle access so please park outside the fenced area.

Please respect the temporary fencing in place and our contractors who are working hard to get the work finished as quickly as possible.
