Kerbside Collective operating as usual on Monday 26 September
Western Bay kerbside collections will go ahead as normal on Monday 26 September.
While many of Aotearoa mark the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, our Kerbside Collective team will be collecting rubbish and recycling as usual.
Collection will take place for Waihī Beach, Athenree, and Bowentown (to Woodlands Road, but not Kauri Point Road and surrounding roads).
Council’s Solid Waste Contract Manager Tony Wilson says if your collection day is usually Monday, put your bins out as usual by 7am.
If you’re putting out your red lid rubbish bin, make sure you attach your pay-as-you-throw tag correctly. You can do this by following these steps:
- Purchase a tag from one of the selected stockists before Monday
- Attach the PAYT tag to the red rubbish bin by looping through both the red lid handle and black bin handle
- Fasten tag
- Place the red lid rubbish bin on the kerb by 7am alongside other bins ready for collection on your collection day.
If you have a missed collection or aren’t sure which day your collection is, visit kerbsidecollective.co.nz or download the free Antenno app.
Antenno provides the most up-to-date Council notifications direct to your phone, such as collection reminders, and can be downloaded for free from Google Play or the App Store.
