Early investigation works for SH2 / Ōmokoroa intersection underway

Early investigation works for the $43 million State Highway 2 / Ōmokoroa intersection upgrade begin this week. Contractors will be working intermittently along Ōmokoroa Road, between Prole Road and SH2, from now until November.

Traffic management, such as shoulder closures and temporary speed reductions, may be in place at various times and locations to allow this work to be completed safely. While work is designed to have minimal impact on motorists, some minor delays may be experienced at times.

This work, which includes topography surveying, service location and geotechnical testing, will provide Council with important information required to complete the detailed design of the upgrade.
