Save those stress levels. Nominate early
Yet to put your name forward for this year’s elections?
Here’s a hot tip. Save those stress levels and don’t leave it to the last minute.
Nominations for Western Bay of Plenty District Council’s seats close at 12pm sharp on Friday 12 August.
Western Bay of Plenty District Council Group Manager Strategy and Community, Rachael Davie says nominations are a precise process and now is not the time to hold off from a campaign perspective.
“In the past we have had people miss out because they’ve not had their paperwork done on time.
“If you have missing details in your paperwork or mistakes had been made, you will need time to resubmit your nomination. The morning of Friday 12 August is not the time to risk your chance of representing your community.
“We need as many people as possible putting their hands up this election and the last thing we want is for someone to miss out because of a technical or administrative detail.”
If you need assistance or advice with your nomination paperwork please contact Council, we’re here to help.
