Longer hours for AA Agency in Te Puke Library
There’s no need to race into the AA Agency in Te Puke – they’re now open longer hours to service your vehicle and licencing needs.
Starting Monday 4 July the AA service desk in Western Bay of Plenty District Council’s Te Puke Library will be open Monday to Friday, 9am-4:30pm.
The change in opening hours comes after a period of shorter, irregular opening while new people were recruited and trained to take on the AA service desk work following Council taking over the service from Cavanagh Motors in March.
In that short time there’s been a strong demand for the AA team’s service, showing it was a good call for Council to take it on.
Amanda-Jane McFadden, Team Leader Libraries (East) says she’s already noticed how much the service is needed in the Te Puke community.
“We take a lot of pride in the service that we provide to the community, so it’s been really nice to have a new way to add value by giving the AA services a new home.
”Speaking as part of the community, we know that one of the greatest things about living in Te Puke, is that we have everything we need in town. It’s great to be able to help preserve that.”
As a fully-fledged AA Agency, the dedicated AA team have a separate desk within the library to take care of AA work. The simple system means that there’s no hold up for people with library or Council queries, or vice versa.
New team members Jo and Kuljit are ready and waiting to help.
Jo comes to us from Tauranga AA and is fully trained. A Te Puke local, Jo is thrilled to have this opportunity to work in the community she lives in.
Kuljit is just completing her three months AA training and is excited to be part of the team. Having spent many years working in customer service she ready to take up this new challenge.
The new team are equipped to help with all queries related to
- Purchasing vehicle registration
- Road user charges
- Plates
- Vehicle licensing services
- Driver licensing applications
Amanda says, “Big thanks to the Te Puke community for their patience while we were getting the details sorted. We’re excited to introduce Jo and Kuljit to customers, and continuing to spread the word about everything you can do at the library.”
The Te Puke Library is open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, and Saturday 9am-12pm.
The AA service desk is staffed Monday-Friday 9am-4:30pm.
The Library and AA services are closed on public holidays.
