Community board meetings resume with controls
Community board meetings will resume in November following new safety protocols.
New safety measures that will allow the meetings to go ahead include allowing only the board members to attend in-person and enabling the public to attend virtually via zoom.
Western Bay of Plenty District Council’s Customer Service and Governance Manager, Barbara Whitton says, “We want to make it as simple as possible for people to attend, while also keeping them safe.
“The zoom details for the next round of community board meetings have been uploaded to our website, so just jump online to attend virtually.”
The upcoming meetings are set for
- 10 November Katikati Community Board
- 16 November Maketu Community Board
- 18 November Te Puke Community Board
- 23 November Ōmokoroa Community Board
- 29 November Waihī Beach Community Board
If you wish to speak virtually in public forum at the beginning of a community board meeting, please register with Council’s Governance Services Team at GovernanceServices@westernbay.govt.nz or phone 07 571 8008.
