One week to have your say on recreation & open spaces
There’s just one week left to share your ideas in the first round of community feedback on the Te Puke–Maketu Reserve Management Plan review.
Head to our website – haveyoursay.westernbay.govt.nz/rmp - now to have your say on the key topics being considered, including transforming part of Lawrence Oliver Park in Te Puke into a dog park, and starting the conversation on where should Te Puke’s new indoor pool be built. Feedback closes at 5pm on Monday 11 October.
The reserve management plan is Western Bay of Plenty District Council’s guidebook for recreation and open spaces. It sets out how Council will develop and manage these spaces over the next 10 years. The review covers the Te Puke-Maketu ward, which stretches from Te Puke along the coast to Otamarakau including Pongakawa, Paengaroa and Pukehina.
Council’s Senior Recreation Planner, Katy McGinity says, “We’ve had a lot of great feedback so far – but we’re keen to hear from as many people as possible so we can make plans for the future that bring the community’s vison for their spaces to life.
