Te Puke public toilets to close for refurbishments
One of Te Puke’s public toilet blocks will close next week to allow for a full refurbishment of its facilities.
The public toilets on Jellicoe Street, between the Te Puke Library and Service Centre and War Memorial Hall, will close on Monday 31 May and reopen on Wednesday 23 June for refurbishments to take place.
Western Bay of Plenty District Council Strategic Property Manager, Blaise Williams says the toilet facilities are in need of replacing and once completed will provide the public with a high standard of amenity.
The refurbishment will see all three toilets and baby changing facility replaced, plus new flooring, a full interior repaint, upgraded lighting and new sanitary fixtures.
The nearest alternative public toilets are located on Commerce Lane next to Jubilee Park.
Council apologises for any inconvenience caused during this time.
