Potential closure of Ōmokoroa to Tauranga Cycleway section next week

Ōmokoroa to Tauranga Cycleway users are advised to plan ahead next week for potential closures of a section of the cycleway while underground cable works are carried out.

From Tuesday 27 April to Thursday 29 April, Powerco is undertaking cable works to strengthen Northern Tauranga’s power supply alongside the cycleway between Jess Road and Newnham Road.

For safety reasons parts of this cycleway section may need to be closed at times during these days.

The public are asked to take care around this section and be prepared to avoid or use an alternative route during these days.

Council and Powerco apologises for any inconvenience caused during this period.
