Earth works are
commencing on the Omokoroa to Tauranga Cycleway at the end of Lynley Park Drive from this Monday 29
June (Work Zone 1 below). This section is being realigned and the steep gradient improved to make less steep, which will improve the experience and safety for all users through this busy section of the track. It is expected to take up to four weeks depending on weather.
Trail users are asked
to detour across the grass, around the fencing
.
There
is also a complete trail closure (at Work zone 2 below) for two to three days
next week so erosion repair work can be undertaken. Unfortunately
there will be no access past this narrow section at Work
Zone 2 from 30 June to 2 July,
however it is possible that the trail will be open again before next
weekend.
