Te Puke area water restrictions lifted
Water restrictions in the wider Te Puke area and the high alert message for all other areas of the District have now been lifted.
Recent rainfall, cooler temperatures and reduced demand has seen our water reservoirs return to acceptable levels.
We thank the community for their efforts and support of the restrictions.
A complete hose and sprinkler ban was put in place for the wider Te Puke area (Eastern Water Zone) on 5 February 2020, due to lack of rain and high demand. The hose ban was lifted on 25 February, with the sprinkler ban remaining in place until 22 April.
While water restrictions are no longer in place, we encourage residents to continue taking practical steps to conserve water in their homes and workplaces. See our water conservation webpage for tips.
