Alternative route for Te Ara Kahikatea Pathway

A section of the Te Ara Kahikatea Pathway in Te Puke has been closed for a number of weeks due to Kiwirail's railway refurbishment. This has meant that users of the pathway have not been able to complete the full loop.

A trial is now in place until 6 January, offering an alternative route around the construction site (see map above) so the full loop can be completed over the busy Christmas and New Year period. There will be signage on site advising of the route.

Please ensure you remain vigilant when using this alternative route as it includes on-road sections.
