Waihi Beach residents invited to broadband update
Residents are invited to a drop-in session in April to find out what's involved.
Chorus will be holding meetings at Waihi Beach on 18 April from 4pm - 7pm at the Farm Gate Deli and Kitchen, 31 Wilson Road. An earlier meeting from 11am - 2pm will be held in Waihi at Waitete Orchard at 31 Orchard Road, Waihi.
These meetings aim to give residents the opportunity to ask questions and clarify any concerns. Chorus will have a team of experts available to answer questions and explain how the new network works.
When the project is completed in May 2019 more than 5000 homes and businesses across Waihi and Waihi Beach will be able to connect.
The benefits of fibre enable improved patient care, better access to educational online resources and boost commercial productivity.
Waihi Beach is one of 169 areas nationwide where Chorus has extended its ultra-fast broadband, including Maketu, Paengaroa, and Te Puna.
