Maketu water outage
Wednesday 15 August 2018
2.45pm
The majority of Maketu households should now have water restored, however water pressure will be low for some time.
Contractors are working hard to get water restored to all remaining households, which may still take a number of hours. A water tanker with fresh water is available at the Maketu Surf Club carpark - please bring your own containers to fill.
Maketu and Te Puke residents are asked to conserve water as much as possible over the next 24 hours while the water reservoir returns to a normal level.
Residents may notice air in the water for some time after the service has been fully restored. The water may have a cloudy appearance (tiny bubbles) however the water is safe.
Thank you for your patience.

There have been mains breaks on Beach Road and Little Waihi Road which are causing water outages in Maketu this morning.
Council contractors are working hard to repair the breaks as soon as possible, and we expect to have an estimated time of restoration soon - this may take several hours to achieve.
