Makeover for Minden

One of Western Bay's landscape jewels is getting a makeover.

The Minden Lookout at the top of Minden Road has become a bit tired looking over the years so Western Bay District Council is restoring its beauty.

The lookout is one of the District's favourite viewing locations due to its stunning panoramic views over the sea and Western Bay coastline.

Gone are all the old shrubs and it's in with the new. The gardens are being replanted and the parking area smartened up in time for summer.

Footpaths are also being built so that visitors can keep safely off the roadway when they get off tourist buses that frequent the popular attraction.
