Some disruption to the parking area at the Waihi Beach Community Centre will occur during preparations for the installation of the new KiwiCamp facility.
Underground services (water, wastewater, stormwater and power) are being installed within the next two weeks and will take a week or so to complete.
The contractors (Loveridge Ltd) will do their best to isolate the work but there may be periods when parking and designated Freedom Camping areas are closed and users will need to find alternative parking.
Council apologises for any inconvenience to freedom campers and other visitors.
