Get involved with the arts
Creative Bay of Plenty is looking for people to help assess applications for Creative Communities funding on behalf of Tauranga City Council and Western Bay of Plenty District Council.
Who they're looking for:
- People who know what's happening in the arts locally
- People who have experience in one or more forms of art
- People of Māori descent with knowledge of local Māori arts
- People with other specific cultural knowledge relevant to the arts
- Young people interested in growing the arts locally
What's involved?
You'll help assess applications for funding from artistic individuals and community groups, and attend assessment committee meetings twice per year on a voluntary basis. They're looking for assessors for both the Tauranga and the Western Bay of Plenty committees.
The Creative Communities Scheme (CCS)
Each year Creative New Zealand provides funding to local and district councils throughout New Zealand to distribute in their area. The scheme supports more than 1,800 creative grassroots projects every year.
