Mayor Garry Webber says: We'd love for the community to come along, join in and celebrate the opening of this fantastic new facility. This new building will be a place for people to host events, connect, share ideas, collaborate and innovate.
Opening The Centre - Pātuki Manawa marks a big step forward in creating a vibrant town centre of which the whole Katikati community can be proud of. The Centre - Pātuki Manawa will become an anchor point in a vibrant Katikati.
The facility comprises a two-storey library and service centre building with a mezzanine floor of 800 square metres and a 400 square metre community space. Its design provides a central link between Katikati's main shopping centre and Talisman Drive.
The existing library and service centre building will become the home of the Katikati Arts Collective, with the Katikati Visitor Information Centre and Katch Katikati remaining in the building.
