There have been further slips discovered at the Kauri Point Historic Reserve following wet weather last weekend.
Western Bay of Plenty District Council was made aware of the slips this afternoon and are arranging for geo-technical engineers to inspect the site as soon as possible.
The road going down to the jetty was closed last year in April when a 20 metre slip near the end of Chelmsford Street resulted in partial loss of the road. It's the same area which is currently showing signs of instability.
Until the area can be assessed, the public are advised to stay away from the roadway going down to the jetty and the edge of the cliff tops around the reserve until further notice.
