Low flying helicopter to inspect power poles in rural Tauranga

Powerco are inspecting all their lines and poles in rural Tauranga and the Bay of Plenty region using light detecting and ranging technology (LiDAR) and hi-resolution photography.

This will provide Powerco with information about the condition of their lines including identifying any vegetation or possible hazard issues.

This is scheduled to take place from 27 November to 3 December. Work is weather dependent.
