Wander Dogs Summer Series is back
16 October 2017
Western Bay of Plenty District Council's spokesdog Alfie is proud to be hosting another summer of walking and fun events.
Alfie and friends invite all dog lovers and their four-legged friends to join them for the summer series of dog walks and events.
The first group walk of the series is on Saturday 28 October, 10am at Te Puna Quarry Park, with the walks continuing throughout summer and culminating in two special events in March and April.
Animal Services Officer, Betty Hall, says the walks give dog owners the chance to get out and about with their pooches in a safe, friendly and social environment.
"Last year the walks were a great success and we're really excited for this next series. We've scouted out some great walks at a number of different locations.
"These walks, together with our two special events - the Doggy Day Out and Dogs in Togs - make for a very fun summer for our canine community and their owners," says Betty.
"Everyone is welcome to come along - even if you don't have a dog - feel free to join us for a fun walk around our beautiful District!"
