New tennis courts at Omokoroa Sportsground

The contract for construction to build two new tennis courts was awarded to Te Puna company Bay Turf and earthworks are underway.

This will bring the total number of tennis courts at Omokoroa Sportsground to four. The project includes construction of the asphalt courts, fencing and the installation of court nets.

The tennis club was successful in obtaining funding to cover the costs for finishing touches, including synthetic turf and lighting.

Our aim is for the courts to be ready for action before Christmas.
