Eyes on Domain Reserve for future planning

As summer arrives there's always a big increase in activity at the Omokoroa Domain and boat ramp.

As the community grows we need to start planning how best to manage this recreation area as demand increases.

You'll see a few cameras pop up around Omokoroa Domain and boat club area over the summer. Council will use these to get the information we need for this future planning.

We've listened to your thoughts and concerns about parking, freedom camping, boat launching and how people are using the ferry terminal, playground, esplanade and foreshore.

Installing cameras at strategic places in the area will give us data on the variety of users and how we can improve your enjoyment here.

We'll be in touch with the community in the new year to seek feedback on options to enable this great community asset to be used to its best potential and enjoyed by everyone in the years to come.
