If you're planning an event which will affect a Council owned road corridor, you will probably need to provide a Traffic Management Plan (TMP) as part of an event application form. Issues you need to consider when planning an event are;
- car parking
- disruption to normal traffic flow
- safe access and egress (exit) to event sites for emergency services
- other events or works that might be happening at the same time which may affect traffic
- speed zones
- temporary road closure i.e. detour routes. Please apply through our application form at least 60 days before your event. For more information, see our temporary road closure page.
What is a road corridor
The Road Corridor is by definition is, all the land from property boundary to property boundary, including the footpath, berm, carriageway and access ways owned in the Council.
